I’ve loved perfume for as long as I can remember. My mum's perfume bottles shimmered like jewels on the vanity - each bottle held a world inside. Perfume was the final step in her beauty routine and the shift in mood and the alchemy I saw in her, pre and post spritz, became my earliest fascination.

Soon enough, I began collecting perfumes of my own - one from every city I visited or lived in, each becoming a memory of who I was in that place.

I became fascinated not just by how fragrance recalls the past, but how it shapes the present; you become what you wear.

Over time, my curiosity deepened into a personal practice. I learned perfumery through experimentation and immersion, studying the work of great perfumers past and present, and exploring how natural materials reveal colour and their own sensuality. I sought out the most beautiful ingredients I could find: Turkish rose, Italian orris butter, Madagascar Vanilla - the finest of each variety.

Gaetana grew from that obsession. I work only with naturals and choose materials for their olfactory beauty and integrity. Each perfume I make is built around the qualities of the flowers themselves - gorgeous, luxurious, alluring, sensual, and radiant - coming alive in you as you wear Gaetana.

At Gaetana, we look far and wide for the finest, most beautiful natural ingredients. Our commitment to sustainability means that we also ensure that our ingredients are harvested through responsible farming methods. If a plant is endangered, we will not use it; we will not use the synthetic alternative, either. Each perfume is hand-blended in organic sugarcane alcohol bottled in-house at our studio at the foot of the North Shore mountains in British Columbia.
